The product, in the report: Bestway Hawaii Saluspa Inflatable Hot Tub
I was cleaning my Bestway Saluspa Hawaii inflatable hot tub when I felt my hands go numb. I quickly realized that there was an electric current running from the water of the tub through me, but only when I was barefoot on the concrete. Using a voltage meter, I was able to ascertain that the spa water was transmitting 68 volts of electricity. I do not know how many amps. I turned off the spa at the circuit interrupter(GFCI), and although the spa appeared to be off, it was still transmitting the same amount of electricity. It was only after completely unplugging the spa, that it stopped transmitting the electric current. I notified the company that night, and received a call the next day. Within 48-hours, they are arranging for a replacement. I am assuming that it is a pump replacement, but the replacement part is unspecified. I’ve just been notified that something was being shipped to me.
