  1. No one hurt

Made Apr 29, 2018, sent to the company Jul 3, 2018, published by CPSC Jul 18, 2018

The product, in the report: Any temp true zone Fitness Plus. It is a swim spa and hot tub for exercise and physical therapy.

Around 02/22/2018 I let the dogs outside first thing in the morning. I then heard a loud rumbling noise coming from the hot tub side of my Any Temps zone fitness plus. Opening the lid I saw half of the water gone and where the filter strainer was water was at a rolling boil. To my disbelief I immediately shut the breaker off and spending lots of time in restaurant kitchen got my cooking thermometer and placed it in center of tub and it shot up to 160 deg. In less the 2 second which confirmed to me it was actual boiling inside the spa. I phoned the four seasons leisure and left a message explaining what I discovered since the happened to be closed on that day. I then was shocked by the email that we received from the owner of the company stating that this has happened before and that any minor power fluctuation can cause this to happen with his spas. I then hired a spa company to inspect the damage the same company they hired to replace a blower that was going out. There where a few melted plumbing parts and they discovered that all fail safes failed resulting in the damage do to the computer board. I emailed the owner of the company and he said in his email that he already new all that and insisted I pay to have the part removed and sent to him for his inspection. I told him that I wasn’t going to do that. I found several complaints of other people on line dealing with the same issues. My wife and I could have been seriously burned by this hot tub or one of my neighbors children that come over while there parents are here. Do to the height and depth of these spas if anyone dove in it might take one or two people to pull them out and possible death if someone was by themselves and couldn’t get out.
