The product, in the report: Product Name: Bambusi Bamboo Shower Bench Brand: Bambusi Category: Shower/Spa bench (bathroom seating) Material: Bamboo with assembled joints and screws Purchased From: Amazon Purchase Date: April 2025 Price: Approx. $40$60 (based on listing) Condition: New Bamboo Shower Bench - Small Shower Stool with Storage Shelf, Non-Slip Shower Seat, Bathroom Bench, Spa Decor Wooden Shower Bench, Foot Rest Shaving Stool for Shower, Indoor/Outdoor Use, Grey Sold by: Home Sleek Home

On October 28, 2025, at approximately 3:30 PM, I was seated on a Bambsi bamboo shower bench (purchased on Amazon in April 2025) when the bench suddenly collapsed underneath me. It broke apart into dozens of pieces all at once without warning. I fell straight down onto the shower floor, landing on my left hip and side.

I did not strike my head, but I sustained painful bruising, sharp impact pain, soft tissue injury, and skin abrasions. I remained in bed for three days afterward due to dizziness, soreness, and difficulty moving. The fall was hard enough that I am monitoring for possible longer-term effects.

The manufacturer refunded the bench and asked me to preserve the broken pieces, which I still have, but they have not followed up in more than a month. The bench remains for sale online.

This bench appears to pose a serious safety risk, as its structural failure could easily cause severe injury to other consumers, especially elderly or disabled individuals using it for stability in the shower.
