The product, in the report: Walmart Hyper Tough 16AWGX3C 100ft Indoor and Outdoor Light Duty Orange Vinyl Extension Cord
Walmart Hyper Tough 16AWGX3C 100ft Indoor and Outdoor Light Duty Orange Vinyl Extension Cord. Purchased a total of three of these over the years. First two failed at the plug. Didn’t think much about it as they were so inexpensive. Third (and LAST) one only partially failed at the plug causing it to overheat so bad it melted the plug of my shop vac. No telling what might have happened if I had used the shop vac longer. Potential fire hazard. Reviews on the Walmart website indicate I am not alone. These cords should be removed from the shelves immediately.
