The product, in the report: Electrical extension cord. Manufactured by Ting Shen. Color is deep green. Cord has a switch plus multiple sockets along its length to enable consumer to plug in christmas tree lights. The cord plug has a integrated fuse that can be accessed and changed. the cord also has a sticker with the text “Patent No. 5,236,374.
Faulty item is a green extension cord that is designed for Christmas tree lights. It has multiple sockets along its length and a single-pole switch. The product deficiency is its plug. The plug is encased in a plastic housing. I pulled the plug from the wall socket and the slight friction of the plug blades in that socket caused one of the 2 plug blades to separate from the plug and remain in the wall socket; sticking out about one-half inch and posing a danger to anyone reflexively pulling on that blade to remove it from the wall socket. The cord has the words “Ting Shen TS-10A” stamped on the cord plug housing.
