The product, in the report: BN LINK model BNC-60/u131R 3 outlet outdoor splitter with remote
2nd season use of an outdoor extension cord/ 3 outlet splitter for Christmas decor. Two outlets were in use. One was a small angel inflatable from [REDACTED] and the other had two small spiral light trees. They have been set up since just after Thanksgiving. This morning my son heard a loud pop and saw smoke coming from the unit through the window above our couch. He immediately yelled for me as he could smell and see electrical smoke. I immediately grabbed the remote to turn the power off. I ran outside and disconnected the splitter from the extension cord and found the unit still smoking and melted.
