The product, in the report: Whisen Full Murphy Bed with Hidden Storage & Modern Woven Design White. Full-size bed with folding mechanism and center support leg. Purchased through Target.com from Target Plus partner Serene Spaces Inc.
I purchased a Murphy bed from Target that has proven to be defective and unsafe. During normal use, the center support mechanism failed, causing the bed to fall. This impact bent the two metal tongs that secure the center support leg. We had to manually reshape these parts to continue using the bed, but the structural integrity is now compromised.
Additionally, the assembly instructions contained incorrect part numbers, which could cause improper assembly and increase the risk of failure. This defect creates a serious fall hazard for users, especially given the beds size and weight. No injury occurred, but there was a high risk of serious injury.
