Emergency room Made Jul 15, 2026, sent to the company Aug 20, 2026, published by CPSC Sep 4, 2026
The product, in the report: This is a 4 piece couch all sections recline. The two middle sections have metal levers to recline the couches. These are the parts spoken about in the first statement.
This is a two part report same issue. Somewhere around May of 2025 My daughter [REDACTED] got hurt on the reclining arm of our 4 seat reclining couch bought at steinhafels. She cut her right knee and has a permanent scar. We called the company and they replaced both of the middle recliner arms. This 4th of July 2026 my son [REDACTED] got on the couch and slit his leg open needing 4 stitches and sat in the ER over 3 hours on the 4th of July holiday. I called the company they did not reply for about a week. When they called back they asked if I wanted to replace the parts again.??? I said we will need more then replacement of parts that have already hurt two children because we have hospital bills now. They never called back and that was at least was week ago. Both of my children now have permanent scars [REDACTED] worse the [REDACTED].
