The product, in the report: Renaissance Leather Power Reclining Sofa with Drop Down Table-Black 40.5 in base x 41 in height x 83.5 length Costco product ID: 1441736 Purchased January 16, 2022 unable to find model and serial numbers, but did find info on two other websites: https://www.dancafurniture.com/products/renaissance-leather-power-reclining-sofa-with-drop-down-table https://palletparadise.com/products/renaissance-leather-power-reclining-sofa-with-drop-down-table

My seven pound dog, [REDACTED], went under the footrest of my electric sofa just as I pressed the button to lower the foot rest. I didn’t see that she had gone in there, but I did hear a bump and her whining. My husband flipped the sofa over on its back and I pried the hinge apart enough to pull her out, which took several minutes. Her head and shoulders were trapped between the two sides of the hinge mechanism. I thought she was going to die from being crushed. When we got her out, we noticed injuries on her right shoulder and neck with bleeding (see photos). She is the second animal to get caught in this sofa. Our cat got caught under the motor shortly after we purchased two of these sofas on January 16, 2022. I believe they pose a risk of severe injury or death to small animals, babies, and toddlers.
