  1. First aid

The product, in the report: Cary’s Doe Fusio -Sofa with 5 pillows (model 2820-KP/carydoe) -Loveseat with 4 pillows (model 2821/carydoe) -Chair and 1/2 with 2 pillows (model 2822/carydoe) Model 2820-KP/carydoe; 2821/carydoe; 2822/carydoe UPC 566-282200-01

I purchased a couch, love seat, and chair and half (all Cary’s Doe brand) from Ashley Furniture, and I’ve used these items in my living room for the last year. Under the couch cushions, small, very sharp, metal tabs have torn through the fabric of the couch, love seat, and chair and a half, and these tabs run the length of each piece of furniture. I have cut my fingers on these tabs twice, generally reaching for a TV remote. I’ve reported this incident to Ashley Furniture and the company for the extended warranty I purchased, and neither is willing to replace or repair the furniture, each for different reasons. With two small kids in the house and having cut myself twice on these tabs, I think this is a product safety issue that needs some attention outside of Ashley Furniture.
