The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Seen by a doctor or nurse

Made Nov 9, 2016, sent to the company Dec 9, 2016, published by CPSC Dec 23, 2016

The product, in the report: couch, love seat and ottoman; Polyester material

(8/15/16, Estimated) The consumer received this furniture set as replacements because the first furniture set caused her adverse health effects and the consumer filed a similar report (20161109-6C089-1606946).

The consumer states that the rash and blisters continued while she had this replacement furniture set.

In September she was taken off [REDACTED] for 2 weeks so the Doctors could conduct a skin biopsy. The consumer states that the rash throughout her body, the blisters on her hands and the hair loss became worse. The consumer states that her body couldn’t regulate her body temperature and she had kidney failure.

The consumer contacted the store in October to request the material safety data sheet for the replacement furniture set and has been in contact with them for the past month to obtain the information. The consumer indicated that she has not been given the information or the name of the manufacturer and finally the consumer asked to return the replacement furniture set. The consumer states that the store picked up the replacement furniture set on November 8 and provided her a refund.

Since the furniture has been taken out of the home everything has cleared up.

The consumer believes the original furniture set and the replacement furniture set have chemicals that are causing her adverse health effects.
