The product, in the report: Bundle Sofa in Pebble / Light Gray with Sloped Arms from https://www.bundleliving.com/sofa.
The product in question is a flat-packed sofa that came with separate pieces of seat bottom, back rest, and 2 armrests that use interlocking metal latches to come together without the use of tools.
The product did not arrive with an instruction manual, nor was one available online. The latches (as installed from the factory) permit the seat bottom section to only be able to slot up into the back rest section.
After installing the sofa in this way, during normal usage the seat bottom unlatched itself from the back rest with a load thud. This is because normal sitting will apply downward pressure to the latching mechanism, causing the latches to come undone eventually.
Upon collecting the online PDF instructions from the manufacturer, the correct installation involves installing the seat bottom _down_ into the back rest. The factory-installed latches however did not permit this assembly (one-way latches only allowed the seat bottom to lock up into the back rest), rendering the only possible assembly to be highly unsafe for the product and consumers.
