The product, in the report: Rug, 4’ x 5.9
3/6/2023: The consumer’s 5 year old son sat on the carpet and at one, he turned around. He was kneeling on the carpet with his hands down. The son began screaming and the consumer was not sure what happened.
The son went to sleep, but was still limping the next day. The following day, the consumer’s husband examined the rug and found a broken needle in it. They took their son to Urgent Care. Upon an examination, the other part of the needle was found in the son’s knee. It was recommended that the consumer call a few orthopedic specialists, but none would perform the procedure.
The consumer took her son to the ER, but they would not perform the procedure, because the needle was embedded substantially deep within the child’s knee.
The consumer was referred to another hospital and the child was admitted. A medical procedure was performed the next day and the needle was removed on 3/9/2023. The son was released in the evening, on the same day of the surgery.
