The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Plastic clothes hamper

About 2 weeks ago I purchased 2 hampers for our daughter’s bedrooms. Saturday I took my one daughter’s hamper down to the laundry room and was emptying it by reaching into it to get the clothes out. As I got toward the bottom where it is a bit narrower, I reached in and suddenly felt a searing pain in my finger.

The hamper is made of plastic and has plastic cut-outs for decoration (and ventilation?). The edges of these cutouts are razor sharp and cut my finger deeply.
