The product, in the report: Easy glider rocking chair
The infant room teacher was leaving on Monday, 12/12 at about 5:30 when she stopped me and told me that the glider rocker in the baby room was feeling weird, like it was loose and going to fall apart. She then left for the day. About 10 minutes after that I got a phone call from one of the parents in the baby room, she proceeded to tell me that when her boyfriend picked up their child and went to put her in the car that they found a bolt in her mouth. They took the bolt, checked to make sure she was fine and put her in her car seat. They then drove home and called me to tell me what had happened. I told the mom I would call her right back after I went into the room the check things out. I then went into the infant room and checked all the cribs, swings, bouncy chairs and the glider rocker. I took the glider rocker and tipped it upside-down when I did that two washers and a nut fell onto the floor. I look at the underside of the rocker and could tell where the washers were from but I couldn’t see where a bolt was missing. I then removed the rocker from that classroom and swept the floor. I returned to my office and called the mother back and explained to her that I thought it was the rocker that had lost a bolt because of what had fallen out onto the floor. I also explained to her that this was the second glider rocker we had gotten from this company and it was only about 6 months old. I told her that the first rocker we had was taken out because the springs fell out of the bottom if it. I also explained to her that this glider rocker was purchased for us as part of a materials grant we received in 2010. I made sure that the infant was fine and that the parents were at ease with what happened but I did assure that them that I was going to report this incident to the Environments Company as well as the people that we received the grant from.
