Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Graco Avalon glider with rocker in espresso. Serial # 9382976 PO #7492 date of manufacture 02/15/2012. Vendor #82 Manufacturer Lajobi Inc

My wife was sitting in the Avalon Glider rocker (espresso)- item 9382976. She was rocking our 6 month old son to sleep, when suddenly a portion of the glider base snapped. (later it was observed that where a bolt attaches to the base with ball bearings, almost appeared to have exploded). My wife fell backwards with our son in her arms. Luckily most of her fall was caught by the wall behind her, however she did hit her head on the wall, and startled our son.

The product, in the report: Graco glider with ottoman in espresso serial number 1062335-071, PO# 6798, made in vietnam, production date 7-15-11

I have a graco glider with ottoman which i purchased at burlington coat factory last year. I have since discovered it was recalled due to the breaking of a piece of wood on the lower frame.

Tonight I was sitting in the chair with my 1 year old daughter. I weigh about 190 pounds and my daughter weighs about 23 pounds. I was rocking her to sleep when the chair suddenly made a loud cracking sound and we fell about 6 inches. My daughter was frightened and lept forward as I fell backward. I hit my head on the wall behind the chair and she fell about 12 inches to the ground.
