The product, in the report: Grandview Office Chair sold by Macy’s

I purchased a chair from Macy’s in 2011. It is part of the Grandview Collection manufactured by Pulaski. The chair is a swivel type with a bar located beneath the seat which allows the user to recline the chair further. The issue is that when not used, this bar works its way through its slot and allows the chair to recline prematurely. In my situation the chair reclined, fell back and was damaged. Fortunately I suffered no major injury with the exception of a small cut to the hand and a scrape on the wall. My concern is that if an individual were younger or elderly, the damage could be more severe.

I notified Macy’s regarding the incident and request a replacement so they could evaluate the chair, but they stated that the chair was not in warranty and they were unwilling to assist. I notified them that I would be putting a review on their website regarding the incident and would be contacting this agency.
