First aid Made Jun 24, 2020, sent to the company Jul 15, 2020, published by CPSC Jul 29, 2020
The product, in the report: Reclining chair
Muse recliner(Pasadena Ca./HTL Group Singapore purchased from Havertys Furniture in Allen Texas in March 2019 appears to be of poor quality and unsafe design as the metal receclining mechanism is totally exposed on the inside of chair arms at seat cushion. The exposed metal is extremely sharp and if one drops an object such as a tv remote, pen or cell phone etc. reaching into the seat cushion/arm is very dangerous. My wife and have both suffered cuts when retrieving items. I am very concerned with small children setting in chair when we are not in room.
