The product, in the report: Denver Glider Recliner, Burgundy
I purchased two leather chairs. I was allergic to the leather. I believe the problem is that the chairs are likely to be contaminated with dimethyly fumarate (DMF). This is an antifungal agent intended to prevent the leather from getting moldy during starage and shipment from overseas.
Per the internet this problem showed up in England late 2006 to the present. Also you can refer to a safety article by consumerreports.org dated May 19, 2009.
I returned the leather chairs for an exchange. The store where I returned the chairs was great in exchanging them.
I have never been allergic to any leather product prior to this. Apparently overseas leather manufactures are adding or exposing an unsafe product to the leather shipped to the USA.
Please investigate and advise.
Thank you
