The product, in the report: Finchley Leather Electric Recliner with a lithium battery and plug connection. Manufactured by Pallister Furniture. Color is Biscotti. Purchased at Macy’s in July 2019.

I bought a Finchley electric recliner from Macy’s in July 2019. On Thursday, December 10, 2020 in the middle of the night the chair had a huge POP that scared the heck out of me and woke me up. There was a strange electrical burning smell. I unplugged the chair and had my son who is a Firefighter come over to check it out. The cord was melted and he believes the battery is what created the loud bang. I can no longer use this chair; however, I am so grateful my house did not catch on fire! This is SO unsafe!!!
