  1. No one hurt

Made Feb 22, 2017, sent to the company Mar 23, 2017, published by CPSC Apr 6, 2017

The product, in the report: Southern Motion Fandango power recliner, gray in color, leather.

I purchased a Southern Motion Fandango power recliner from Knoxville Wholesale Furniture on approximately August 10, 2016. I previously reported this to a man withCPSC, but cannot find the report. The recliner off gasses formaldehyde and makes my eyes blurry, my head hurt, and/or stuffs me up if I sit in it an hour or more. I did not call the site where I purchased it because my son did not tie it down sufficiently when we brought it home and it flew out of the bed of the truck; but it was not damaged other than one skinned place in the leather. Nevertheless, the recliner did not have any warnings of formaldehyde off gassing from the unpainted man made boards that comprise parts of the chair’s frame. I am submitting this report because I strongly feel that Southern Motion should either refund my money or provide me with another recliner, made without the man made fiber board. Additionally, this product emits too much formaldehyde and is a safety issue for,the public, especially for small children. After being I. Our house for over six months, even though I can no longer smell the odor although my husband can, I still get severe headaches and blurry eyes.
