The product, in the report: Bath towels

Consumer is reporting that the bath towels she purchased had an overwhelming odor of formaldehyde, which caused health symptoms including respiratory problems, burning of the face, eyes and nose, etc. She stated that she had not used them she was just looking at them. She stated that her friend had to remove them and placed them outside in a bag. Caller stated that the health symptoms dissipated when the towels were removed.

Caller stated that she returned them to the store but she is concerned about consumers being harm by the toxic chemical and the air quality. The retailer was not notified , she stated that the entire store had that odor. She stated that she will contact them.

Caller stated that she does not know who makes the towel because she returned it and does not have the receipt.

Caller feels that the towels are a health hazard and should be reported.

I did tell when returned but to clerk.
