The product, in the report: Mission Bunk bed by Wood Park Furniture, walnut colored, purchased from Big Lots
We purchased a Mission Bunk bed from Big Lots at Christmas (2011?) My son wanted them into regular beds so we took the bunks down. My husband was sitting on one of the beds and when he got up--the right side of the wooden frame completely broke/snapped. Thank GOD no one was injured but there could have been a serious injury had someone been underneath while it was “bunked”.
I went back to my local Big Lots store and spoke with the manager. He said that there was not a recall on this model but gave me the manufacturer’s information (Wood Park Furniture #1008546) along with the part number (WP-9070-2AL).
I did a google search on Winter Park Furniture and found they are located in High Point not far from where we live. I sent them an email b/c they didn’t post a contact phone number. I hope to hear back from them soon.
