The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

The product, in the report: Twin over twin bunk bed. Wooden frame. Espresso color. Purchased through Wayfair. This product is currently under recall for slats and they are sending me out a replacement kit for that problem. (Still have not received it) but in the meantime the wooden bed frame cracked clear through. This item is not safe. Especially dangerous if bunked. I purchased this bed for when my grandchildren visit so they have only been slept in a total of about 20 nights since they were purchased. Barely used. See attached photo.

Frame on Walker Edison bunk bed split while child was sleeping in it. Luckily beds were unbunked due to previous recall for problems with slats. Child is 6 yrs old so was well below the weight limit of bed.

The product, in the report: Walker Edison Della Classic Solid Wood Twin over Twin Bunk Bed, Twin over Twin, Natural

We purchased a bunk bed from amazon. the bunk bed was unsafe and the slats didn’t cover the bottom so the mattress would fall through the slats. My two year old got pinned between the slats and mattress. Amazon issued the recall but Walker Edison wants to just resend slats rerisking our Childs safety, as well as amazon.

The product, in the report: The product name is Classic Solid Wood Twin over Twin Bunk bed twin over twin, espresso.

My order purchase number is [REDACTED] for a Walker Edison Della Twin over Twin Wood bunk bed I made on January 5th, 2022. Within the first couple of months of purchasing the product it began to break down in small pieces over time. The backboards are cracked on some places and broken in others. The stairs began to crack and break while my kid was climbing the steps to go to bed causing them to hurt themselves on the feet. The stair handle broke off completely as my kid used it to support themselves to the top bunk. There are cracks all over the bed that cause my kids to have countless splinters. My two youngest kids are the only users of this product and I am worried that the bed will completely fall apart one night as they’re sleeping. I bought a bunk bed to maximize the space in their room, but due to how unsteady, unstable, and unsafe the bed has become we’ve had to separate the beds for their safety. I am exhausted of gluing and doing temporary fixed while something new becomes the issue in a couple of weeks; it is never ending.
