  1. No one hurt

Made Mar 27, 2023, sent to the company Mar 30, 2023, published by CPSC Apr 13, 2023

The product, in the report: The bunk bed was purchased online and is a lighter colored wood of unknown species with a sprayed on coating of some sort. Hooks where parts were hung to spray were never removed and are still in many of the pieces. The package was shipped from a fulfillment center in Corona CA. The boxes show the manufacturer as Jiangsu Reborn Eco. Tech Co ., Ltd with a website address of www.jsessh.com and phone number of 86-512-6359777. A label on the original packaging says Spec. 174dtex288-9D20L 32.45kg Lot # AB803/M000 Grade B Case8505220706106632. There were 4 separate boxes with bed parts in them poorly packaged, loose with a 2mm foam wrap around them. The item is described by the “Seller” (Litfad.com) as a “toddler and kids bed, 94.5”L x 59”Wx 67” H, described as a Scandanavian Solid Wood Slat No Theme Storage Natural Bunk Bed & Mattress & Armoire.

I ordered a bunk bed for my child online in February 2023. The bed arrived March 25th. My husband began unpacking and inspecting the parts on March 27 and began to feel nauseous from the fumes. The wood is coated with some sort of chemical which stunk up our whole first floor and my husbands said his throat felt like it was burning. There are no labels on the boxes, no instructions, no safety related information on anything.
