No one hurt Made Dec 27, 2022, sent to the company Jan 4, 2023, published by CPSC Jan 19, 2023
The product, in the report: Cindy Kids Loft Bed with Slide, Twin Loft Bed with Slide, Toddler Loft Bed
I purchased a bunk bed from Amazon through Naomi home products. The bed looked fine after spending 3 hours carefully following the actually rather poor build instructions. On Christmas Day we showed our son his new bed which had a slide. My son is 28lbs and as he sat on the slide the wood snapped at the screw point exposing screws which as it crashed to the ground and he hit his head almost sliced his back open. As a temporary fix I had to use extended screws but it’s to dangerous to use. I have told the company about the problems I’m having and they have told me that I have to dismantle the entire bed and send it back using their return label for a part replacement or full refund. I don’t have the time nor do I want to dismantle the whole thing especially given that they have given me a 3 day window to do so and I am now back at work. Their loyalty team is been nothing but incompetent and they refuse to provide a solution that is fair nor will they either part refund me so I can buy a new slide or send a new slide that is safe. This product should not be available for kids it will cause a serious injury
