The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Middlebrook Browning Solid Wood Twin Size Low Bunk Bed. https://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Taylor-Olive-Browning-Twin-Low-Bunk-Bed/25483395/product.html?cache=no

Our children’s bunkbed collapsed. We have the bed for slightly over 2 years. Just last week, without warning, the top bed suddenly collapsed as our older daughter climbed up onto it. The wood cracked, and the entire top fell through onto the lower bed. Thank G-d, our younger child was not there at the time. Otherwise, we’d be dealing with a tragedy, G-d forbid. This bed is cheap quality and collapsed under NORMAL usage. Our children do not jump or abuse the bed, and neither are they heavy. The site states weight limit is 250 lbs per bunk, and neither of our children are even half that weight.
