The product, in the report: Caspian wood twin over twin bunk bed (Hillsdale Furniture)

It is a Hillsdale bunk bed that was a replacement by Value City Furniture for my 2 grandchildren, ages 4 years and 7 years old. The bed is very wobbly and un sturdy and not safe for my grandchildren to sleep in. I have complained several times to the furniture store, where the bed was purchased from and it took them two months to send someone out to try to fix the problem which did not fix the problem. I am afraid that one of my grandchildren will get seriously hurt if they attempted to sleep in that bed because it is so weak it may collapse. I’m afraid to even have it in the room that they sleep in because it is weak and it may collapse even without someone being on there. I was told by the installer of the bed that it is perfectly safe to sleep in, which is not true. My grandchildren are not able to sleep in the bed and never have. This bed was delivered in September of 2019 I asked for a refund or replacement and Value City Furniture’s corporate managers refused to do either. I really need some help with this situation because it’s not safe and the Screws that they used to assemble the bed are too short to hold the wood together because I took a picture of the screws before they were installed in the bed, I took the picture of the screws to a hardware and I showed it to a repair specialist and he said those screws should go into a dresser drawer not a bunk bed. The screws that were used are too short. The first time Value City sent someone out to put the bed together. In September 2019, Straight Out of the Box it was 11 screws missing after the serviceman left, including the screws for the protective rails at the top to keep the child from Falling Out. The slats under the top bunk along with slats on the bottom bed were also missing several screws. The safety booklet that came along with the bed set stated that, “if ALL SCREWS are not properly installed the bed could be a hazard.” so they left a hazardous bed in my grand children’s room for them to be injured. And when I reported it and told them I needed them to come and install the screws, they refused. I had to call consumer protection on them in order for them to agree to come and put the Screws in the bed. After putting the screws in the bed the bed is even weaker than it was before they put the rest of the screws in. I am very unsatisfied and nervous and I am unable to take this bed apart I have no one to help me. I just want a refund and they can come back and get this bed because it’s unsafe. My two grandchildren have had to sleep in the bed with me because they don’t have a bed to sleep in due to the unsafe conditions of the bed that was sent by Value City Furniture. It is a Caspian wood twin over twin bunk bed. When I was placing the twin mattress onto the top bunk is when I noticed the screws missing because I smashed my hand between the rails and the bed frame.
