The product, in the report: Better Homes & Gardens Leighton Kids Solid Wood Twin-over-Twin Convertible Bunk Bed with Ladder and Guardrails, Black
Bunk bed is too long and does not fit a standard twin mattress. Because of this, the mattress gets pushed down on both the head and footboard causing feet and arms to get trapped. This morning my son woke up trapped between the headboard and the mattress smashing him.

The product, in the report: Better Homes and Gardens Tristan Twin over Twin Convertible Floor Bunk Bed, Gray
I purchased the Better Homes and Garden Tristan Twin over Twin Convertible Floor Bunk Bed in Grey from Walmart on March 8, 2023. It was delivered on March 12, 2023. The bunk bed was purchased for my second room which is the grandkids room. One is 6 years old and the other is 18 months old. The bunk bed is not used everyday. The kids came over on March 25, 2023 and March 26, 2023. My 6 year old grandson weighs 70lbs and the bed is rated for 165lbs per bed. He was on the top bunk and yelled that the bed is breaking. I helped him down and did not see anything until I looked underneath the bunk bed. One of the slats had cracked in half with 2 jagged pieces hanging down. When the slat broke it ripped a hole in the mattress protector. Had someone been on the bottom bunk they would have been cut or stabbed by one of those pieces of wood. We removed the broken wood and have not allowed anyone on the top bunk until we buy plywood to cover all the slats. I can not return the bed as it is already built and returning it would require disassembly and returning to the store. I am going to have to disassemble and throw it away. It is really dangerous.
