  1. No one hurt

Made Jan 13, 2014, sent to the company Jan 23, 2014, published by CPSC Feb 6, 2014

The product, in the report: “Reindeer Snow Globe plays ‘silver bells’ distributed by Target Corp, Mpls, MN 55403” Numbers on back “06155006, ID233428”

I purchased a “reindeer snow globe” from Target. The Target ID number is 233428. The snow globe was sitting on a dresser in my bedroom. I smelled a burning smell and discovered that the light coming into the window was being refracted through the snowglobe--and that focused light was burning another decoration behind it and starting a fire.

There have been similar recalls involving other snowglobes, but this one seems to be dangerous. I still have the other decoration that was being burned. No one was hurt, since I was home at the time and was able to stop it.
