I purchased a LED flashlight. The batteries from the store did not work so I put new AAA batteries in and the battery compartment became extremely hot. I opened the battery door and the batteries had begun to melt. I quickly pried the batteries from the flashlight to prevent them from exploding. The LED light never illuminated
