The product, in the report: Steel River Solar Lantern. Led lantern that is rechargeable by plugging into a 110 volt outlet or by the solar cell on top. Has USB port located on the top to charge cells phones and other USB rechargeable devices and can operate with 3 AA batteries installed in the bottom
I bought three solar rechargeable lanterns through an ff from Science Of Skill website and one didn’t work at all but the one that concerns me is the one I had plugged in to charge, it blew up. The whole top blew off of it and the battery blew apart throwing a black sooty material all around the lantern. When I reported this to Steel River (the company that has their logo on the lantern) they told me that I had already received a refund from Science Of Skill company but they didn’t address the dangers of their product, So I thought it would be best to report it to you so others know of the hazards this product can produce
