The product, in the report: PrincetonTec Vizz 550 RGB
When trying to turn on the Princeton Vizz 550 RGB to the white bulb, the white light would never illuminate while the red, green, and blue lights would. I must have inadvertently left the headlamp on the white setting and set it down, because when I tried to pick it up roughly 10-15 minutes later, I nearly burned my hand and dropped it. I did not immediately test the compartment at that point, but I popped the batteries out. Instead, I left the batteries removed to recreate the same conditions with the same batteries. When I placed the batteries back in, validated the lamp turned on the red/green/blue lights, I “turned on” the white light again (note - it still did not illuminate). Instead, I monitored the battery compartment with an instant read thermometer and clocked over 190 degrees Farenheit. I tested this again with a completely new, out of box, batteries that did not come bundled with the lamp and got similar results. I’ve already contacted the company and they are issuing a “tested care package”, but I wanted to raise this concern before someone “torched” their forehead with this headlamp.
