The product, in the report: Feit Electric https://www.costco.com/feit-rechargeable-led-headlamp%2C-2-pack.product.100526075.htm Model Item #1377725l

In July I decided to use our new Feit headlamps that we had purchased from Costco (https://www.costco.com/feit-rechargeable-led-headlamp%2C-2-pack.product.100526075.html). My husband had already gone to bed and I wanted to read in bed for awhile. It was too bright to wear it on my head so I put the headlamp next to me on the bed. After reading just one or two pages I noticed a burning smell and looked around the room. There was smoke coming from my sheets! The headlamp was burning my sheets, and when I quickly picked it up, it was extremely hot to the touch. Attached is a photo of the burn marks on my bed sheet.

The product, in the report: Rechargeable Led Lights 3 piece set (Black)

I purchased this item because the flashlights are rechargeable and my kids always have a flashlight so they can use in the middle of the night when they get up to drink water, my youngest son was checking to see how bright the room looked with the multi-use headlamp and he was trying out the 3 color lights on the side of the headlamp light. The flashlight was on and the lamp dropped on the couch and burned a hole in the fabric, all three flashlights get really hot in such a short time, even though that is not an excuse because the current flashlights that my kids have do not get hot at all. No flashlight should start getting hot when turned on. This product should be checked, it could be a serious fire hazard. Nowhere on the package does it state that it gets hot when on.

The product, in the report: Feit Electric, Model Number 72328, Ultra Bright 500 Lumens High Performance LED Flashlight with Sliding Zoom, Black

Purchased flashlight new on 7-25-2015. Installed 3 new [REDACTED] C-cell batteries purchased along with the flashlight. Flashlight has ‘high’ and ‘low’ intensity settings along with a couple of strobe settings. Turning the flashlight on and selecting brightness or strobe is done through a press and release tail switch. There is no tactile or visual feedback from the switch regarding whether the flashlight is ‘on’ or what mode it is in. On ‘low’, the flashlight performed as expected. When on ‘high’, the flashlight would go out after a few seconds. Clicking the switch to return to the ‘off’ setting and clicking again would turn the flashlight back on for a few more seconds then it would go off again. I repeated this cycle several times. Eventually I decided that I wanted to find out whether the flashlight would come back on after shutting itself off if left alone for a period of time. I turned the flashlight on in the ‘high’ setting and laid it on my desk. I got distracted and several minutes later when I went to pick up the flashlight it was burning hot - Far too hot for me to hold it. I don’t know whether alkaline batteries can explode but I was afraid they might. I went and got safety goggles and several rags. I wrapped the rags around the flashlight to try to contain whatever might happen and slowly unscrewed the flashlight’s tail cap to remove the batteries. The flashlight and the batteries eventually cooled down to room temperature. I am concerned that this flashlight posed a risk of bodily injury in the form of burns and a risk of a house fire.
