The product, in the report: Energizer Metal Tactical Flashlights
I purchased an Energizer flashlight and it gave me cuts with sharp edges immediately when turning the flashlight on. There are extremely sharp aluminum edges in the barrel of the flashlight that make it unsafe to use even one time. I was simply trying to turn the flashlight on when I got cuts on my finger from the sharp edges.

The product, in the report: I have an Energizer Rechargeable Emergency LED Flashlight that generated an ozone smell and the exterior started melting. These are designed to remain plugged into 120V AC and the light comes on automatically when there is a power outage. This ‘always plugged in’ aspect and the dangerous failure is why I thought to contact you. I can email a photo, or even ship the unit to one of your offices. I purchased this from Amazon in 2018, and the Amazon Specific Identification Number (ASIN) for it is B000V6USJQ

The product, in the report: Energizer Weatheready Rechargeable LED Flashlight, Emergency Flashlight for Hurricane Supplies and Survival Kits, Flash Light with Convenient Plug-in Design, Pack of 3
Product was plugged into the wall and started making an electrical burning smell. The outer case had started to burn up and when I opened up the flashlight, the circuit board and a resister had burnt up. These had been plugged in for 6 months without issue until now. The other two in the three-pack also had an electrical burning smell, but the outer cases were not yet melted. I looked on the amazon reviews and this is happening with a lot of them. When I reached out to Energizer support, they offered to refund my money, but did not seem concerned that their products were burning up.

The product, in the report: Energizer plug-in rechargeable flashlight, white color, approximately 8.5” long x 2” diameter.
My Energizer plug-in rechargeable flashlight caught fire, while plugged into the wall, in my garage. I was home at the time, was able to extinguish the fire fairly quickly, preventing it from becoming a major incident.

The product, in the report: Hand held rechargeable LED flashlight, Eveready battery Co, INC, St. Louis, MO 63141 Manufactured for Energizer Brands, LLC, St. Louis, MO 63141 Model # RCCHFNM
I purchased 3 Energizer/Eveready Rechargeable LED Lights/Flashlights Model #RCCHFNM from a local Virginia Walmart. The first failure was the red LED charge light failed to illuminate. The second failure was the product became hot to the touch when plugged into the wall socket. The final failure was the noticing the melted plastic case in the same spot on all 3 lights. The risk of fire hazard prevents me from further use of the product. The product is still for sale at my local Walmart. I have notified Underwriters Laboratory and Energizer about this issue.

No one hurt Made Nov 2, 2015, sent to the company Nov 10, 2015, published by CPSC Nov 25, 2015
The product, in the report: Energizer Task Light; TUF2AAPEW UPN-135030
At the beginning of September 2015, I purchased a Task Light, Energizer TUF2AAPEW UPN-135030 104-68520-1.
The case became extremely hot. I checked the batteries (which were included) and they were properly installed.
I called the service contact, 800-383-7323. The representative said there was not need for me to do anything further; they would send me a voucher to replace the defective product. I recycled the batteries and disposed of the light.
Last week I redeemed the voucher for one light and then bought a second unit. Neither of these units worked. Apparently the switches are defective, sometimes the lights work, sometimes they don’t.
Now I’m not only feeling foolish, but also concerned. I called the consumer number this morning. “[REDACTED]” told me I should send them pictures of the lights and their packaging as this would be proof of purchase, and they would then send me vouchers.
I told her I was more concerned that the lights are defective and a safety issue and should be examined by Energizer. She said that wasn’t their policy; they don’t have anyone to do that. I tried to explain that there could be a burn or fall hazard, but she insisted there was nothing to be done.
I told her I wasn’t interested in vouchers because I certainly wasn’t going to buy this item again, and if they did not want to examine the lights, I felt I had to try to alert a consumer agency about the issue.
Our conversation was courteous on both sides. I would appreciate your letting me know if I have reported this to the proper place, and if not, where I should.
Thank you for your time.

Not said Made Jun 27, 2014, sent to the company Jul 8, 2014, published by CPSC Jul 22, 2014
The product, in the report: Energizer Rechargeable flashlight.
I unplgged this 2 month old rechargeable flashlight, used it for two minutes and then plugged it back into the AC outlet. The device started making popping sounds and sparks inside the body of the flashlight which I could see as orange light through the body of the handle. When I unplugged the flashlight the problem ceased. I assumed it was a dangerous fire hazard.
