The product, in the report: Discover kids 2 in 1 starlight lantern
My son got that lantern for his birthday on March 2017. Since he had it the batteries kept popping out in the compartment that is secured by a screw. We had to unscrew the lid every time to fix the batteries, we changed batteries often and still kept popping out. One night my son told me that his lantern was getting hot, when I touched the bottom of it (where the batteries are located, ) it felt really hot, so I asked my husband to give it a look. He opened the battery compartment and one of the batteries was melted and the other 3 were hot. The lantern was not on when the incident happened.
