The product, in the report: Cordless Rechargeable Spotlight 1.5 Million Candle Power, built in 6 volt rechargeable battery, car cigarette lighter and home adapter, weatherproof with impact resistant plastic housing, pistol grip with trigger, trigger lock for continuous beam, quartz halogen bulb
First time use, new in box item. Spotlight must charge before first time use for 10 hours. Plugged transformer adapter into electrical outlet in our kitchen. After approximately 3 hours of charging, I smelled an acrid burning smell. I returned to the kitchen and noticed a fire had started in the handle. Thank goodness I returned to the kitchen area as soon as I did.
