The product, in the report: This product is Bali Lightblocker miniblinds sold by Home Depot and customized by Springs Window Fashion. It is a cheap competitor to Levolor. It is intended for use as a window covering. Parts made in Mexico
I purchased mini blinds online. The mounting brackets are spring steel that are supposed to fasten around the headrail. Force is used to “snap” them into place. I could not get the headrail to seat with ordinary force and so I continued to push upward as illustrated in the product instructions. The headrail eventually slipped sideways, causing my finger to strike the mounting bracket and cut into my flesh. Better quality miniblinds (the ones I was replacing) use a box-style mount that does not require application of force. If force is required, it should be minimal, to prevent injury, but these brackets will never positively engage with the headrail no matter how much force is used.
