The product, in the report: TRIPPEVALS WINDOW BLINDS: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/trippevals-black-out-cellular-blind-white-30509723/
For many years IKEA has been knowingly selling a defective and hazardous product in USA: TRIPPEVALS window blinds. Tension spring mechanism located at top of each blind inexplicably fails and explodes into numerous plastic fragments and sometimes causing the blind to detach and fall off of its mounting brackets. Failures happen when the blind is NOT being moved to open or close and occurs when nobody is in the room, such as in the middle of the night causing a VERY loud noise and crashing sound. Consumer is only fortunate if they are not near the blind when this happens or the likelihood of injury to person(s) and or personal property below the blind increases. [REDACTED]
