No one hurt Made Apr 27, 2020, sent to the company May 5, 2020, published by CPSC May 19, 2020
The product, in the report: Bali Hem Grip (model 633 669). Clear plastic piece used to hold roller shade when pulling shade up or down. UPC 044294104730
I purchase 4 Bali Hem Grips for roller shades at Home Depot. I put them on the shades without incident. A short while later one of them cracked in half when no one was near the shades. Then an hour later a second one also cracked in half and this time the pieces when flying. Fortunately no one was near so no one was hit with the pieces. Later a third one also cracked and split in half.
I am concerned that 3 of the 4 shade pulls cracked in half on their own and that in one case the pieces came apart with sufficient force so as to move them considerable distance. If someone had been standing near the shade at the time, they could have been injured by the flying pieces. This appears to be some type of defect and clearly this shouldn’t happen.

Hurt, no treatment Made Apr 14, 2015, sent to the company Apr 22, 2015, published by CPSC May 6, 2015
The product, in the report: Bali Exterior Screen Shade, item # 331665, model # BRSE15
Bali Exterior Screen shade purchased from Lowes: It was 139” wide, 80” in length so this was quite heavy. The screen was manufactured around a plastic headrail with very small plastic hooks that mounted into a thin metal bracket for hanging. Both the plastic hooks and metal bracket looked too inefficient to handle the weight of the shade. We followed the instructions for mounting. Two days later the entire shade fell on top of my husband and I. Upon inspection, the plastic hooks that were mounted into the metal bracket had broke off.

Hurt, no treatment Made Nov 19, 2013, sent to the company Nov 27, 2013, published by CPSC Dec 19, 2013
The product, in the report: bali today cellular shades
We just want to warn people to be careful with their shade cords. We have bali today cellular shades on all our windows in the house, and the kids will find a way to wrap or tie the cords around them. This has happened to two of our children where they climbed up on the back of the couch and someway got the cords around their necks and fell off the back of the couch with one and one was up on the short ledge and both got terrible rope burn gashes on their necks when they fell. luckily i was only a room away when it happened, but it can happen so fast and kids can do things we don’t expect them too. my daughter was 2 when it happened and my son 4. we now have a 6 month old and plan on updating all our shades/blinds to cordless due to the scares we’ve already had w/our other 2 children.

No incident, no one hurt Made Aug 10, 2013, sent to the company Aug 19, 2013, published by CPSC Sep 10, 2013
The product, in the report: Bali Solitaire II 3/8” double cell cellular shade with top down bottom up cords
We received some blinds in 2012 manufactured by Bali which have cords which don’t seem to meet the rules enacted in 1995 (no external cord ends joined in a loop) and are a choking hazard to our grandchild.
