Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Feb 17, 2026, sent to the company Feb 25, 2026, published by CPSC Mar 11, 2026

The product, in the report: TRLIFE Wall Sconce Plug in, Dimmable Wall Sconces Set of Two Swing Arm Wall Lights with Plug in Cord and On/Off Dimmer Rotary Switch, 9.4” Medium Beige Fabric Shade(2 Pack, 2 Bulbs)

I purchased a pair of metal wall sconces from Amazon with plug in power cords. The units have ground connections in the back, but the seller has fitted a two pin power cord, leaving the ground connection unattached. I have not installed them as they are unsafe. Looking at the reviews to see if anyone else had noticed this issue, i see at least one person reporting getting electrical shocks.

Made Nov 27, 2021, sent to the company Nov 30, 2021, published by CPSC Dec 14, 2021

The product, in the report: TRLIFE LED shop lights Model TRLIFE 8-ft LED ceiling lights As a hobbyist to build a workshop, I purchased 11/07/2021 from Amazon 6 TRLIFE 8-ft LED ceiling lights described as “8FT LED Light Fixtures 72W, 8FT LED Shop Light 6000K Cool White Dual Side T8 V-Shape Integrated 8 Foot LED Tube Lights(150W Fluorescent Light Equivalent), 8640Lm, Clear Cover (6 Pack)” sold and shipped by Talike with a Chinese address, 401-1 A Dong Shanyuehuagongyeyuan 63hao Xintangcun,Jutangshequ Fuchengjiedao Longhuaqu,Shenzhen,Guangdong,518110,CN I wanted to wire the power connection from the middle instead of the end, I discovered that in spite of the instruction to connect a green wire to a ground, the internal wiring showed no ground connection to the metal casing at all. The three-conductor terminal at the end is a sham with no ground fault protection, which is normally seen in all shop lights. Since this is not a double insulated device, the metal casing without a ground wire protection is an unacceptable hazard.
