The product, in the report: “TODOLUZ 1-Light Pendant Ceiling Light in Brushed Nickel” purchased through Amazon and sold by Bonus Lighting.
On 11-Dec-2023 I installed (2) “TODOLUZ 1-Light Pendant Ceiling Light in Brushed Nickel” purchased through Amazon and sold by Bonus Lighting. Today, 12-Dec-2023, less than 24 hours after installation, one of the light shades fell from the light onto our kitchen counter scattering glass shards over the counter and into the dining area and kitchen floor. Even dislodging 2 kitchen untensils from a container nearby. My wife was working in the kitchen at the time and was fortunate that she was not at that part of the counter. She could have been seriously injured. Her description was that the light “exploded”. Upon returning home I investigated the issue and found that the threaded retaining ring holding the shade in place was too large and simply slid off of the light socket apparatus. The retaining rings used with this type of light are generally a sloppy fit so it was not readily apparent to me during installation that this type of failure could occur. This item should be recalled and removed from sale.
