The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No incident, no one hurt

Made Apr 17, 2023, sent to the company Apr 20, 2023, published by CPSC May 4, 2023

The product, in the report: Patriot Lighting Brooklyn Natural Iron and distressed faux wood 4- light pendant. Model # H792A SKU# 3518367

We had an electrician install our light fixtures. They sometimes works omit a funny smell but in the last few weeks it’s gotten so bad with the smell we were very worried so we called an electrician back out to check the wiring. Worrying was fine but when he took the fixture down the metal on the lightbulb (that came with the fixture) literally had a hole burned in the metal part and the hounding for the bulb was charred. Electrician said our house could have caught on fire due to this faulty fixture.

The product, in the report: Patriot brand puck lights - string of 3 lights

Patriot Lighting brand puck lights were installed professionally in my home under cabinets. I was leaving one day and forgot something. When I went back into my home the lights smelled funny and were smoking. I took a video of these plastic lights smoking. I sent it to the company and they asked me to send them the lights. The sent me back lights made with metal instead of plastic. I had asked I’d get recalled all the plastic ones they sold and they told me they are not aware of other instances like mine. I find that hard to believe and I feel the lights should be recalled. They have already admitted fault by changing the product.
