The product, in the report: Tiffany Style 10.25” Butterfly Rose Stained Glass LED Wall Lamps. NBC Item Number 405-649, (Set of Two).
Purchased two Butterfly Battery Operated Wall Lamps from Shop NBC. Both operate on Three (3), AA size batteries. After batteries were placed in each, one was mounted on the wall and appeared to operate properly, however the second got too hot to handle before mounting on the wall and even started smoking so, it was not installed. About 24 hours after the mounting of the first lamp, noticed the light would not turn on, therefore, I removed the fixture from the wall to check the batteries and found that not only did the plastic holder that holds the batteries melt, but there was also a scorched mark on the wall in the same proximity of where the Lamp was mounted on the wall. This indicated to me that this product could have started a fire. Both units, evidently have shorts within the wiring of each unit.
