The product, in the report: Illuminating Experience ELF1 Bath wall fixtures We have ordered 8 of these Illuminating Experience ELF1 fixtures for our new house. They came equipped with two different kind of Zenon double contact bayonet style bulbs rated at 60watts each. There are two bulbs per fixture. Six of the eight came with bulbs that had a longer shaft of insulating material between the socket and the bulb. The other two came with bulbs with no insulating material. Within a few weeks these fixtures began to have a burning smell and then within another couple of weeks, the top bulbs burned out. Actually what happened was the heat from the bulbs began to attack the wiring insulation but before it damaged the insulation, the bulb base welded itself into the socket. Eventually this caused a short circuit at the base and the fixture had to be replaced on warranty. When we got the replacement fixtures, after complaining about the apparent faulty bulb, the new units came with the same non-insulated bulbs. Again, within a couple of weeks we had the same burning smell and when I tried to remove the top bulbs, they were once again welded into place. Illunimating Experiences has more that a warranty problem with these lamps. At some point they will be given a Consumer Product recall. Buyer beware
