The product, in the report: Manufacturer: Idea Nuova, Inc. (New York, NY). Item Number (INI): 072536037643. Product: battery operated SpongeBob SquarePants LED Light
I am reporting a severe fire and burn hazard regarding the SpongeBob SquarePants neon wall art light. After being turned on for a short period, the unit began to emit a strong electrical burning smell. Upon inspection, I found that the internal wiring had melted, and the plastic battery housing was severely charred and deformed from heat. This is not an isolated incident. A family member purchased a [REDACTED] LED, and their unit experienced the identical failureoverheating to the point of melting the plastic casing. This product is marketed for children’s bedrooms. My son noticed the smell while in bed ans alerted us. Manufacturer: Idea Nuova, Inc. (New York, NY). Item Number (INI): 072536037643. Product: SpongeBob SquarePants LED Light.
