The product, in the report: Franklin Iron Works Casa Mirada 19 3/4” outdoor lights. Rated for outdoor use but also approved for indoor use. Features a glass enclosed 3-light base for 60-watt candelabra bulbs.

I purchased a pair of Franklin Iron Works Casa Mirada glass and iron light fixtures in 2008 from Lamps Plus. They have worked fine for 7 years, but today we happened to be home and saw smoke and sparks coming out of one of them. It appears that the 3 light bulbs are set so close to the metal center stem containing the wiring that the wiring insulation burned off and the wires touched, sparked, and began to give off smoke. We immediately disconnected it and checked the other one, which was very close to burning too. If we hadn’t been home, it’s probable that my house would have caught fire.
