The product, in the report: Fanimation Ceiling Fan with Light Kit - Brush Nickel Embrace 44’ Fanimation FPS7981OB
the light bulb in the ceiling fan exploded and melted the glass light cap, causing the glass to explode and glass shred everywhere. The extreme heat produced by the light bulb melted my furniture (sofa) surface, and also melted glasses burned into the rug underneath. My toddler son was sitting 6 inches away from where the light bulb exploded and could have been severely burned and injured. This is not a safe product especially the light bulb exploding could melt through glass and causing it to break and send glass shreds everywhere. Also the high heat produced by the type of bulb is dangerous when it can severely burn someone.
