The product, in the report: This is a light fixture produced b KICHLER called Elan, Model #83162

A light fixture made by Elan, a KICHLER company, model # 83162 spontaneously caught on fire with 3 inch flames in our home in Naple Florida on April 7th, 2019. Fortunately, after turning off the light switch, the light fixture, burned out on its own. We have purchased three of these light fixtures, so we are concerned that the other two my also go up in flames.

These light fixtures were purchased from Ferguson on April 25th 2014. While Ferguson has agreed to give us a credit for the light fixture that caught on fire, we are concerned that the other two light may also catch on fire. This seems to be a significant safety issue and we understand that the new models feature and LED light bulb vs what appears to be a halogen light bulb that came with the original design.
