The product, in the report: Florescent light fixtures from Cooper Lighting Peachtree GA with two florescent bulbs

We purchased from Lowes several Cooper Lighting florescent light fixtures which we had installed in our garage. One of the caught fire where the bulb goes into the socket and was litterally flaming by the time we got the cover off and the power turned off. Thank God a friend of ours was here and he had to use his hand TO PUT OUT THE FIRE!!! Thank God we had a ladder nearby or we might not have put the fire out in time the light was mounted to the trusses !! One of the other lights started to smell funny a few days before that but we didn’t know it was the lights doing it until the fire, Customers need to get a letter in the mail immediately to take these down. I paid with a credit card so I know it could be traced back to the customer. My friend was burned and actually singed his hair a little bit to prevent our garage from catching fire. PLEASE Notify Customers. Sincerely, [REDACTED]

The product, in the report: Cooper Lighting Shower Light Trim and Glass Lens

We had our master bathroom remodeled in July of 2012. New lights were installed above the shower and the jetted tub. On May 3, 2014, the plastic light trim and glass lens crashed to the floor suddenly, spreading glass shards all over the shower floor. The plastic tabs that hold the wire hangers had broken off, releasing the glass lens. Fortunately, we were not in the shower when it happened. This could have caused serious lacerations. The inside of the rim was labeled ERT-701 from Cooper Lighting. The date was marked as 325 11 which means the 325th day of 2011.
